Davis Langdon announces new head of Rail

August, 2010

Global construction consultant, Davis Langdon, is delighted to welcome Lindsay Noble as new Head of Rail, within its Transport sub sector.

Rail is the answer to sustainable transport in the 21st Century and is becoming the mode of choice for mass transport and long distance surface travel, with Governments diverting transport funding into rail projects of various descriptions.

Davis Langdon has of course been working in the Rail industry for many years. One of its earliest projects was the Channel Tunnel Rail Link which was worked on from 2001. Since then, the rail profile in the sector has grown steadily with major commissions including Manchester’s £1bn Metrolink light rail extensions, Shepherd’s Bush and Wood Lane underground Stations and the £1bn East London line, which Davis Langdon has had a permanent team working for over five years.

More recently, the Transport sub sector has secured the Haramain High Speed Rail link in Saudi Arabia and Cost Management services on Crossrail.

With an engineering background, Lindsay Noble brings with him over 20 years’ experience in the rail sector and a strength and depth of knowledge that will allow Davis Langdon to seize the opportunities that exist in this sector.

Andrew Stevenson, Head of Transport said, “We have made real inroads to the market over the last eighteen months, strengthening links with engineers, designers and specialist transport consultants. With evidence that our sector expertise continues to gather pace it is timely that we augment our leadership team with a specialist of appropriate track record who will enhance our knowledge base, bring new business connections and drive an offer that really differentiates us in this highly competitive market”.
