Carbon and energy efficiency are increasingly regulated and have a greater prominence in the public eye than ever before. In the UK, the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme has set the stage for greater financial commitment, and need for transparency.
As part of the increasing profile of the low carbon economy, the Business Channel has launched a series of programmes entitled ‘Building a greener Britain’. The series gives expert commentary to provide a window into the world of organisations that are taking a lead and making the news in sustainability and carbon reduction.
The latest programme will focus on the ways in which organisations need to ensure compliance to capture the upside of the “green agenda” and as a leader in the field, our Head of Sustainability John Connaughton has been interviewed for the programme.
Davis Langdon helps clients achieve “Total Carbon Efficiency” by taking an integrated approach to addressing the low-carbon agenda in a practical, commercially focussed, way. In the interview, John focuses on the practical application of the legislation, the impact on clients and the ways in which market leaders in the built environment are responding to the obligations to reduce carbon and increase energy efficiency.
