Aberdeen Airport is Scotland's fastest-growing airport, also one of Europe's busiest commercial heliports, transporting more than 400,000 helicopter passengers in support of the North Sea oil and gas industry.
The adjacent area with consent for 300,000 sq ft of commercial office/hotel space is therefore a prime site, and this project is the first phase of a scheme to maximise its potential.
The project is designed to introduce a higher standard of flexible, multi-occupancy office space to the local market, using innovative design and procurement methods. Six miles north of the city centre, the accommodation comprises three separate two-storey buildings of identical construction, totalling 56,000 sq ft gross floor area.
The external envelope includes terracotta rainscreen cladding to Category A developer's specification, complete with four pipe fan coil air conditioning. The development includes associated landscaping and car parking.
