Since NHS LIFT was first introduced, the obligation to produce the Strategic Service Development Plan (SSDP) has shifted focus from the PCT towards the LIFT Co. This empowers the utilisation of it's supply chain, not only to refresh the SSDP, but also to establish a fully integrated strategy suite on behalf of the LIFT Co Partners.

This includes:

  • Service configuration
  • Built asset configuration
  • Programmes of Investment / Disinvestment

This approach is designed to integrate the skills and experience of the LIFT Partners as well as the specialist skills of professional advisors accessed via the LIFT Co supply chain.

Traditionally the frailty of SSDP cost assumptions has undermined the level of certainty needed to plan projects. With this uncertainty, how can you be confident that the capital implications of proposed developments are affordable and aligned to modern models of service?

The answer is to use expert knowledge gained from similar projects. By adopting a more challenging set of key performance indicators (KPI’s) informed by the analysis of a large sample of projects; our specialist team create measures that can be applied in both strategic planning and business case approvals.
