Our supply chain management arrangements are the most mature in our sector of the industry, based on relationships with trade contractors and manufacturers developed over fifteen years of continuous collaboration.
For clients with repeat business, what we provide is effectively direct project management of their mechanical and electrical trade contractors.
Every quarter we gather together all the building services trades working for the client to discuss progress. Main contractors are not involved and no hiding places are available, or sought, as we examine progress and issues on all packages – mechanical, electrical, BMS, ductwork, security, fire alarms etc.
This collaborative approach allows us to pinpoint and address issues directly. Where, for example, a manufacturer has changed something that is causing buildability or other problems, we then deal directly with the manufacturer’s team, with whom we have equally close relationships, to address the matter.
It is not easy for trade contractors to get on our approved list and the requirement on people to perform well, and continuously improve, delivers high standards. These collaborations also allow us to select the best teams from suppliers and manufacturers according to the project need, to negotiate authoritatively and obtain early design input.
