Impacts of Katrina on the Construction Market

As the Gulf Coast region recovers from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the question of how this will impact construction prices has been raised. Initial research suggests there will be a substantial impact on the residential market, and a moderate impact on the non-residential and infrastructure market. Significant cost increases in individual building materials are also expected.
